Joining the Society
The Society owns and runs the Leatherhead Museum of Local History, puts on talks by invited speakers and members, publishes books and a highly regarded 40-page quarterly newsletter, provides this website and assists researchers and those interested in local history in many ways, in particular by making available online its Newsletters and Proceedings since 1946. The best way to support us is to become a member.
Ordinary Membership is £20 per annum. Members get priority receipt of our quarterly Newsletter and, when published, our Proceedings; member-only access to archive records and digitised documents online; free use of the Society's Library and voting rights at our Annual General Meeting.
For those living at the same address as Ordinary members, Associate Membership subscription is just £6. Student Membership subscription (also £6) is for those under 18 and interested in their local history. The subscription year is 1 Jan-31 Dec. Those joining after 30 Sept get 15 months to the end of following year. If you pay UK income tax you can also benefit the Society by Gift Aiding your membership.
Small Corporate Membership costs £125 annually and provides all the benefits of Ordinary Membership as well as sponsorship opportunities - please contact our Chairman.
To join us please complete our Application Form and return it with your cheque payable to 'L&DLHS' to: L&DLHS Membership Secretary, Leatherhead Museum, Hampton Cottage, 64 Church Street, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 8DP. Please contact our Membership Secretary for our Bank Details if you prefer to pay online.
The same form can be used to join the Friends of Leatherhead Museum who support the Museum in many ways, for example some are regular stewards or volunteers there.
